One hourly rate, no surprises
We charge $330 an hour for every event type. What changes between packages is the minimum booking length, not the rate. Every booking includes unlimited sessions, an on-site attendant, setup and teardown, a 30 to 50 piece prop kit, instant prints in photoslip holders, digital copies, and our standard Memory Shop frame designs.

Why the totals differ. A wedding is not charged a premium. Weddings and corporate events run at the same $330 an hour as a birthday party. The total is higher only because those bookings start at four hours, since receptions run long and guests keep coming back to the booth all night.
Why schools pay less. Campus events are usually mid-week, shorter, and simpler for us to staff, so student organizations get $300 an hour instead of $330. That rate is for student orgs, campus departments, and schools billing through the institution. It is not available for private events.
Plus Massachusetts sales tax, unless your school or organization is tax-exempt, in which case send us the certificate and we take it off. Travel outside our service area may add a fee, quoted before you commit.
Make it yours
Your booking comes with our standard Memory Shop frame designs. If you want your names, your logo, or a look built around your event, these are the options. Add any of them when you book, or later.
Basic Logo Frame
$100Your logo, names, or event title added to one of our existing frame designs. The most popular choice for weddings and corporate events.
Advanced Professional Frame
$200A frame designed from scratch by our team to match your colours, invitation suite, or brand guidelines. Fully bespoke rather than a template.
Self Provided Frame
$120Already designed your own frame, or have a designer who has? We load it, format it for our printers, and test it so it comes out right on the night.
Backdrop
$65Choose a backdrop to match your colours or theme instead of the venue wall. Worth it anywhere the room behind the booth is not doing you any favours.
Mini Scrapbooking Table
$120A styled table with a guest book, glue, pens, and stickers. Guests print a second strip, stick it in, and leave a note. You go home with the book.
This is what your guests take home
Not a grainy four-frame strip from a tablet. Eight full-colour frames shot on a Canon DSLR with proper lighting, printed on the spot, in a photoslip holder so it survives the rest of the night.
Every guest also gets the digital version through a QR code, animated GIFs included, before they have left the booth. The frame above is a custom design, one of our paid frame options.
Try the booth before you book it
Almost every photo booth company in Boston asks you to book from a photo on a website. You send a deposit, and the first time you see the booth is when it rolls into your venue.
We run three walk-in studios: 230 Newbury Street, 34 John F. Kennedy Street in Harvard Square, and a third opening on Harvard Ave in Allston. The booth we bring is the same equipment, camera, lighting, and print quality. Go stand in one and take a strip home. No other rental company here can offer that.
What clients say
"Memory Shop is the goat. There was a line the whole night and people kept going back like 3–4 times. Be prepared to actually book the correct amount of hours because we got 2 extensions... trust me though it was worth it. Photos were great and we got a digital album of all the photos for the night."
DominicUMass Amherst"We thought the photobooth would just be a small add-on but it ended up being one of the best parts of our wedding. John and Brian made everything so easy and kept the energy up the whole time. It's better to have physical copies of these memories for sure!"
ChloeWedding"Did not expect a photobooth to be this big of a hit at our event. Brought our team together and everyone had a great night. They set up within an hour and got here so early! Saw the prints in the office the next day."

Events we do
Weddings
Receptions, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. Add a custom frame with your names and date, and an attendant who keeps the line moving so the booth never bottlenecks dinner.
Corporate & holiday
Holiday parties, launches, conferences, and offsites. A logo frame turns the strip into the thing people keep instead of another tote bag. December fills first, so reach out by October.
College & university
Formals, club events, orientation, and homecoming. We work with student orgs at schools across Boston, from BU and Northeastern to Harvard, MIT, Emerson, Berklee, and Tufts, and we know how campus purchasing works.
College events →Private parties
Sweet sixteens, milestone birthdays, graduations, bar and bat mitzvahs. High-energy events where the booth runs nonstop and unlimited sessions actually matter.

Common questions
How much does a photo booth cost in Boston?
We charge $330 an hour, with a two-hour minimum for parties and a four-hour minimum for weddings and corporate events. That works out to $660 for a party and $1,320 for a wedding. Across the Boston market you will generally see $500 to $1,800 for a comparable rental. Quotes well under that usually mean a tablet-based booth rather than a real DSLR camera, or no attendant on site.
Is custom branding on the photo strips included?
No, branding is a paid add-on. Every booking includes our standard Memory Shop frame designs at no extra cost. Adding your logo, names, or event title to one of our designs is $100 and needs three days lead time. A fully custom frame designed from scratch by our team is $200. If you have already designed your own frame, we charge a $120 setup fee to format and test it on our printers.
Are weddings charged more than other events?
No. Weddings and corporate events are the same $330 an hour as a private party. The total is higher only because those bookings include a four-hour minimum. Receptions run long, and guests keep coming back to the booth across the whole night, so a two-hour booking almost never works out.
Why is the school and college rate cheaper?
Student organizations pay $300 an hour instead of $330, about ten percent less. Campus events are usually booked mid-week, run shorter, and are simpler for us to staff, so we pass that back. The rate applies to student organizations, campus departments, and schools billing through the institution. It is not available for private events, including private parties hosted by students. See our college events page for how campus purchasing works.
How much space does the booth need, and how long is setup?
Roughly 10 by 10 feet with about 8 feet of clearance, plus one standard outlet within 25 feet. We arrive about an hour early and take 30 minutes to pack out. Setup and teardown are not counted against your booked hours, so two hours booked means two full hours of guests using the booth.
Is an attendant included?
Always. Every package includes a trained on-site attendant for the full booking. They run the booth, help guests with props, keep the line moving, and troubleshoot anything that comes up. We do not do drop-off rentals.
Do guests get digital copies?
Yes, included. Every session generates a QR code that gives guests instant access to their photos, including animated GIFs, alongside the physical print they take home.
How far in advance should we book?
For weddings, three to six months. For December holiday parties, book by October, because that month fills first every year. For campus events, two to four weeks is usually fine outside formal season. If you want a custom frame, allow at least three days on top.
Can we see the booth before booking?
Please do. Walk into our Newbury Street or Harvard Square store any day we are open, use the booth, and take a strip home. It is the same equipment we bring to your event. No appointment needed.
Do you take purchase orders, invoices, or tax-exempt billing from schools?
Yes. We work with campus organizations regularly and are set up for university purchasing processes, including purchase orders, invoicing, and direct payment rather than a card at checkout. If your school or organization is tax-exempt, send us the certificate and we will take Massachusetts sales tax off the invoice. Mention it when you reach out and we will route it correctly.
