Why the attendant matters here

A booth with nobody running it becomes a traffic jam

Most of what we do in Brookline is a family celebration in a function room. Bar and bat mitzvahs, sweet sixteens, big anniversary and milestone birthday parties. These events have one thing in common: the booth does not get used steadily across the night. It gets mobbed in bursts, usually right after dinner, by thirty or forty people at once.

That is where a drop-off rental falls apart. Nobody is resetting props, nobody is telling a group of teenagers where to stand, and the printer runs out with no one watching it. Every one of our bookings includes a trained attendant on site for the entire event. They run the line, help with props, keep the prints coming, and fix anything that goes wrong before you notice it. We do not do drop-off rentals at all.

What we do in Brookline

The events we get called for most

Bar and bat mitzvahs

The booth is usually the second-busiest thing in the room after the dance floor. Add a custom frame with the name and date for $100 and every guest goes home with a keepsake that has their name on it.

Sweet sixteens and quinces

High energy, nonstop use, and a group that will absolutely take forty sessions if you let them. Unlimited sessions are included, so nobody is counting.

Milestone birthdays and anniversaries

Fiftieths, sixtieths, retirement parties. Mixed-age crowds where a physical print matters more than a phone photo, because it ends up on a fridge instead of buried in a camera roll.

Weddings and showers

Receptions, engagement parties and bridal showers. Four hour minimum on weddings because receptions run long and guests keep coming back all night.

Practical

What we need from the venue

Space and power

Roughly 10 by 10 feet with about 8 feet of clearance, plus one standard outlet within 25 feet. Function rooms almost always work. Tell us if the space is tighter and we will look at it before you book.

Setup timing

We arrive about an hour early and pack out in 30 minutes, and neither counts against your booked hours. If the venue has a strict load-in window or wants us in before guests arrive, tell us and we will work to it.

Venue paperwork

Temples, country clubs and hotels usually want a certificate of insurance from vendors before setup day. Ask your coordinator what they need and send it over early rather than the week of.

Family-friendly props

Our standard kit is 30 to 50 pieces, hats, glasses and plush character props, all family friendly. If you want a theme, or want certain props left out, just say so when you book.

What you get

Everything is included except branding

In every booking

Unlimited sessions, a trained on-site attendant for the whole booking, setup and teardown, a 30 to 50 piece prop kit, instant prints in photoslip holders, and our standard frame designs.

Every photo, not just the strip

Each session generates a QR code before your guests even leave the booth. They get the finished strip, an animated GIF, and every individual photo we shot for that strip as its own full resolution file. Most booths hand over the printed layout and nothing else. You get all of it.

The album

After the event we send you a private cloud album with every photo from the whole night in one place, full resolution. Yours to keep, post and pass around.

Paid add-ons

Custom frames with a name and date start at $100 and are the most popular add-on at a mitzvah or sweet sixteen. Backdrops are $65. A mini scrapbooking table with a guest book is $120.

FAQ

Brookline questions

Do you do bar and bat mitzvahs?

Yes, they are one of the most common events we do. The attendant matters most at these, because the booth gets mobbed in bursts rather than used steadily. Our attendant runs the line, helps with props and keeps the prints coming so it never bottlenecks the room.

Is there a travel fee for Brookline?

No. Brookline is inside our core service area and there is no travel fee anywhere in town. Our Newbury Street studio is minutes from Coolidge Corner.

Are the props appropriate for kids?

Yes. The standard kit is 30 to 50 pieces of hats, glasses and plush character props, all family friendly. If you want a specific theme or would rather we leave certain props out, tell us when you book.

Can we put the guest of honour's name on the strip?

Yes, that is our $100 Basic Logo Frame add-on, and it is the most popular one at these events. It needs three days lead time. A fully custom frame designed from scratch is $200.

How much does it cost?

$330 an hour with a two hour minimum, so $660 for a two hour party. Weddings and corporate events have a four hour minimum. Plus Massachusetts sales tax.

Do you do drop-off rentals?

No, never. Every booking includes a trained attendant on site for the full event. A booth with nobody running it is how you end up with an empty printer and a line nobody is managing.

What digital files do guests actually get?

Every session generates a QR code before guests leave the booth. They get the finished strip, an animated GIF, and every individual photo we shot for that strip as its own full resolution file. Not only the frames that made the printed layout, all of them. After the event you also get a private cloud album with every photo from the whole night.
