You can stand in the booth before you pay for it
Every other photo booth company serving Somerville asks you to book from photos on a website. You send a deposit and the first time you see the booth is when it comes through your door.
Our Harvard Square studio at 34 John F. Kennedy Street is a ten minute drive from Davis Square and a straight shot on the Red Line. The booth we bring to your event is the same equipment, the same Canon DSLR, the same lighting and printer as the one in our shop. Walk in, use it, take the strip home. If you do not like it, do not book it.
Parking and stairs, honestly
Somerville is one of the densest cities in the country and it shows up on event day. Resident-permit parking on most streets, narrow one-ways, and a lot of parties on the second or third floor of a triple-decker. None of it is a problem. All of it is a problem if nobody mentions it until we arrive.
Parking and unloading
Most Somerville streets are resident permit only and there is often nowhere legal to stop. A driveway, a reserved space, or even a friend holding a spot for our arrival window makes an enormous difference. Tell us the situation when you book.
Triple-decker stairs
Third floor with a narrow staircase and a turn at the landing is completely normal here and completely fine. We just need to know before the day so we send enough hands rather than one attendant with a cart.
Space and power
Roughly 10 by 10 feet with about 8 feet of clearance, plus one standard outlet within 25 feet. In a smaller apartment or a packed bar we can work tighter, but we would rather look at it beforehand than guess.
Bars, breweries and taprooms
Union Square and Assembly Row have a lot of function rooms and taproom spaces. Those venues usually want a certificate of insurance from vendors before setup. Ask your contact what they need and send it to us early.
Mostly parties, not ballrooms
Birthdays and house parties
Thirtieths, housewarmings, going-away parties. The booth runs nonstop at these, which is exactly why unlimited sessions matter more than the hourly rate.
Brewery and taproom events
Union Square and Assembly Row function spaces. An attendant keeps the line moving so the booth never blocks the bar.
Campus events
Tufts sits on the Somerville and Medford line and we work with student organizations across the area. Student orgs pay $300 an hour and we bill the institution directly.
Weddings and showers
Smaller, less formal weddings, engagement parties and bridal showers in converted industrial spaces. Four hour minimum on weddings because receptions run long.

Everything is included except branding
In every booking
Unlimited sessions, a trained on-site attendant for the whole booking, setup and teardown, a 30 to 50 piece prop kit, instant prints in photoslip holders, and our standard frame designs.
Every photo, not just the strip
Each session generates a QR code before your guests even leave the booth. They get the finished strip, an animated GIF, and every individual photo we shot for that strip as its own full resolution file. Most booths hand over the printed layout and nothing else. You get all of it.
The album
After the event we send you a private cloud album with every photo from the whole night in one place, full resolution. Yours to keep, post and pass around.
Paid add-ons
Custom frames with your names, date or logo start at $100. Backdrops are $65. A mini scrapbooking table with a guest book is $120. Branding is not included by default, so nobody gets a surprise invoice.
Somerville questions
Is there a travel fee for Somerville?
No. Somerville is inside our core service area and there is no travel fee anywhere in the city. Our Harvard Square studio is about ten minutes from Davis Square.
My party is on the third floor of a triple-decker. Is that a problem?
No, that is completely normal here. Just tell us the floor and whether there is an elevator when you book, so we bring enough hands instead of showing up with one cart and a narrow staircase.
What about parking?
This is the real one. Most Somerville streets are resident permit only and there is often nowhere legal to unload. If you can hold a driveway or a space for our arrival window, do. Otherwise tell us and we will plan around it.
Can we see the booth first?
Yes. Walk into 34 John F. Kennedy Street in Harvard Square any day we are open, use the booth, and take a strip home. Same equipment we bring to your event. No appointment needed.
How much does it cost?
$330 an hour with a two hour minimum, so $660 for a two hour party. Weddings and corporate events have a four hour minimum. Student organizations pay $300 an hour. Plus Massachusetts sales tax, unless your organization is tax exempt.
What digital files do guests actually get?
Every session generates a QR code before guests leave the booth. They get the finished strip, an animated GIF, and every individual photo we shot for that strip as its own full resolution file. Not only the frames that made the printed layout, all of them. After the event you also get a private cloud album with every photo from the whole night.
